When employees submit timesheets and expenses, you can route the time and expense for manager approval before it is available for invoice, reimbursement, or payroll.
You can create separate approval workflow paths for time, time off, and expenses transactions; and you can setup the approval workflow based on employee manager or project manager.
- Go to Setup | Approval Workflow
- For time approval, select
- None to forward timesheets directly to the administrator.
- Employee's Manager if you want the employee's manager to approve time before it is forwarded to the administrator. Click on Assign Employee Approver to setup approvers for each employee.
- Project Manager if you want time to be approved by respective project managers before it is forwarded to the administrator. Click on Assign Project Approver to setup approvers for each project.
Time off and Expenses follow the same workflow as described above.
